Tracker Productions was founded in Banff, in 1998, by Les McDonald. Les is a film maker at heart and had to make a choice; move to Toronto or Vancouver and get into the film industry, or choose a life in the Canadian Rockies. Staying in Banff meant creating a career in production and this was the reason Tracker Productions was founded.
 
Before long, we were filming weddings in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, and Calgary and came to the realization that Canadian Rockies weddings were much more than just paying jobs for us. It became very clear that weddings were a passion for us. So we founded Silver Screen Wedding Films under the Tracker Productions flagship and started applying tried and true film making principles to produce wedding films that are exceptional in quality and in feel. 

We feel that being current can be balanced with being timeless. Quality never goes out of style.

Les McDonald moved to Banff from Eastern Canada in 1990 and immediately fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and the destination living lifestyle. With a great love for the outdoors, you can often find Les filming nature and wildlife in his spare time. Les produces and sells a souvenir video in Banff and Jasper National Parks called, "The Canadian Rockies Postcard DVD" which is available in Banff and Jasper retail locations.

Les has been a professional film and television actor since 1990 and has appeared in many films and well known television commercials such as the recent Nora Roberts movie, "High Noon" and "Claritin D" worldwide.
